My name is Øystein Blixhavn, and I'm a software developer living and working in Oslo, Norway. I've been a software developer for around nine years professionally, with experience from a successful tech startup, open source development, and for the past four years as an IT consultant, systems architect and platform engineer.
This site is my personal blog where I share my views on topics where I see the opportunity to contribute with something new. I'm passionate about improving efficiency and performance, both for myself and my team. This has lead me to investigate DevOps and Agile development techniques, which I find to be extremely fascinating. The last two years I have delved into the world of platform engineering and Kubernetes, and I am finding myself at home here.
